Responsibilities
- Design, automate, and execute infrastructure migrations from AWS or GCP to Azure, aligned to Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (Landing Zone, governance, security).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep; use GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines for build/release, approvals, and environment promotion.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and internal teams to deliver secure, low-downtime cutovers; define RTO/RPO, rollback, and validation steps.
- Implement security, monitoring, and governance: Azure Policy/Blueprints or AVM patterns, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, PIM/JIT, tagging/budgets.
- Analyze existing AWS/GCP services, map to Azure equivalents, and engineer landing zones, networking (hub-spoke or vWAN), private endpoints, and DNS cutover.
- Stand up observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, alerts/runbooks; integrate dashboards as needed.
- Apply FinOps practices to optimize cost and performance; right-size, autoscale, and track spend.
- Maintain clear documentation for architectures, pipelines, and operational runbooks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infra and deployment issues across Azure services; participate in incident response within agreed hours.
- 4+ years managing, deploying, and supporting cloud infrastructure; 2+ years hands-on with Azure.
- Proven expertise across Azure IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity, and security services.
- Strong IaC with Terraform and/or Bicep; familiarity with ARM templates is a plus.
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps; artifact strategy, approvals, and multi-env workflows.
- Production migrations from AWS and/or GCP to Azure, including identity, networking, data plane, and cutover planning.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Monitoring/observability with Azure Monitor/Log Analytics/App Insights; alerting and runbooks.
- Governance and security: Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, RBAC, workload identities.
- Cost management experience in Azure (budgets, tags, right-sizing).
- Strong scripting (PowerShell and/or Python).
- English communication skills (written and verbal) and solid collaboration chops.
- Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700; FinOps Certified Practitioner.
- Experience with AKS or Container Apps; GitHub Advanced Security or supply-chain hardening.
- Azure Database Migration Service, SQL MI/Postgres Flexible Server moves.
- Reusable migration automations and landing-zone modules.
- Exposure to Azure Marketplace enablement or enterprise readiness workflows.
