Remote - Canada

|

Permanent / Full Time

Our client, a Canadian financial services/wealth management organization, is hiring two Business Systems Analysts. These are permanent full-time roles, fully remote within Canada; only candidates currently residing in Canada will be considered.

You'll act as the bridge between business and technology teams: turning requirements into clear specs, using SQL and reporting tools to make sense of data, and helping ensure systems are stable, scalable, and performing as expected across APIs and integrations.

Responsibilities: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and turn them into technical specs and user stories; run workshops and stakeholder interviews; analyze data using SQL; build and maintain dashboards and reports; monitor key metrics, APIs, and SLAs; support API integrations, data migrations, and system changes; produce core artifacts (process maps, data flows, specs, test plans); coordinate timelines across teams; partner with QA on test strategy and execution; support UAT, training, and end-user documentation; help maintain data governance, compliance, and operational standards.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the investment or financial services industry, ideally across front, middle, or back-office systems.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, stakeholder management, and process modelling.
  • Proficiency in writing use cases, user stories, and business process flows.
  • Strong SQL skills, including querying, performance tuning, and stored procedure development.
  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Practical knowledge of importing and shaping data for use in reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts.
  • Experience with system specification development, including functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the design, development, and implementation of software systems in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with solid written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Salary Range:
  • CA$95,000 to CA$110,000 annually, 7-10% performance bonus, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.
Of Note:
  • Completed background checks will be required before the start date if you are selected as a winning candidate.
While we strive to respond to all applicants, due to the volume of applications we receive, individual feedback may not be possible for every candidate. Your application will be carefully reviewed and considered.
