An AI-focused startup currently in stealth mode is seeking a Mid–Senior Python / TensorFlow Machine Learning Engineer to help build advanced AI-powered enterprise software solutions. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a founding team and work on core AI/ML capabilities in real production environments, using modern AI-augmented tools and development practices.
It’s a long-term contract opportunity with no end date. The engagement is fully remote. The candidate can be located anywhere in LatAm. You'll need strong English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) for this role. There may be very occasional travel to Buenos Aires for team-building events, and there is a slight preference for candidates located in Argentina.

Using AI coding as part of your daily workflow is non-negotiable for this role. If you're still deciding whether to adopt AI development tools, this may not be the right fit. The team is looking for developers who are already living in the AI-augmented reality and excited about how it's reshaping software engineering.

Responsibilities
- Develop, train, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning systems using Python and TensorFlow
- Build and optimize AI/ML capabilities within production environments (performance, reliability, scalability)
- Work within an Azure AI partner environment and help manage Azure AI infrastructure as needed
- Use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) as an active, daily part of your workflow to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality and architectural standards
- Collaborate closely with the founding team on product architecture and AI/ML development priorities
- Integrate and/or support retrieval and semantic search workflows leveraging Cosmos DB as the vector database
- Mid-Senior-level Python development, with a proven track record shipping production ML applications (not only notebook experiments)
- Strong hands-on TensorFlow experience across the ML lifecycle:
- Model development/training
- Deployment to production
- Optimization and performance tuning
- Ability to clearly explain which ML libraries you’ve used in production, and why
- Ability to describe which model types/architectures you’ve built or deployed in TensorFlow (e.g., the kinds of models you’ve trained, served, optimized, monitored)
- Experience working with Azure AI infrastructure
- Background in enterprise SaaS product development
- TensorFlow.js experience
