Microsoft AI SR Engineer / Solutions Architect (Latin America)

Our Client, an enthusiastic Microsoft services provider specializing in helping mature startups break into the enterprise market, is seeking a hands-on AI solutions specialist to partner with startup clients, design and deliver Azure-based AI solutions, and eventually lead an expanding Microsoft AI practice. You will be working closely with mature startups, building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI/cloud architectures using Microsoft's Azure ecosystem. As the company grows, you will have the opportunity to transition into the role of Microsoft AI Practice Lead—defining the vision, building a team, and scaling service offerings.
It's a long-term contract opportunity without an end date. The engagement is fully remote. The candidate can be located anywhere in Latin America. You'll need to have good English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted partner to startups and ISVs—understanding business needs and translating them into scalable AI/cloud architectures using Azure ecosystem services.
- Architect and implement AI solutions—such as GPT-powered agents, data pipelines, and automation workflows—on Azure, ensuring designs align with best practices in security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Build and deploy AI systems, supporting infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure-native services (e.g., Azure ML, Cognitive Services, OpenAI integration).
- Assist clients in navigating Azure Marketplace integration, co-sell readiness, and go-to-market programs in collaboration with platforms like WeTransact.
- At least 2 projects related to architecting, developing, and deploying AI/ML or data-intensive solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing technical solutions, designing architecture, and evaluating cloud environments.
- Solid technical knowledge and ability/desire to "roll up the sleeves" and do some technical dev work.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, especially AI/ML services, automation, and infrastructure architecture.
- Strong background in cloud migration projects and infrastructure automation.
- Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, translating business goals into technical solutions.
- Proven track record working with startups or ISVs.
- Microsoft Certifications: DP-100, AI-102, AZ-305.
- Experience developing reusable AI migration tools, MLOps pipelines, or automation scripts (Terraform/Bicep).
- Proven experience in building GPT-style agents or conversational AI solutions.
- You will be required to prove you own a laptop and basic software tools.
- Completed background checks will be required before the start date if you are selected as a winning candidate.
