Delivery Manager — Azure Cloud Migrations (Latin America)

Remote - Canada

|

Contract

Our client is a Microsoft-focused services provider that helps mature startups break into the enterprise market. Every engagement centers on infrastructure migrations — moving clients off AWS or GCP and onto Azure — so the work is hands-on, client-facing, and outcome-driven from day one. As they scale, they're looking for a Delivery Manager to own these migration projects end-to-end.

This isn't a pure architecture seat. We're after someone who came up through the technical ranks — as a Solutions Architect, infrastructure engineer, or similar — and has since moved toward the business and delivery side. You'll still need the depth to design target Azure architectures and challenge a migration plan, but your day-to-day is about owning delivery: working alongside the sales team in pre-sales, shaping solutions, leading the project teams who build them, and keeping clients confident the whole way through. You thrive in a startup setting, you own outcomes, you make sound calls with incomplete information, and you deliver.

Engagement Details
This is a long-term, full-time contract opportunity without an end date. The engagement is fully remote, and the candidate must be based in Latin America. Because this is a client-facing role, you'll need strong English communication skills (B2+ or higher).

Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design
  • Partner with the sales team to assess client environments on AWS or GCP, design target Azure architectures, and estimate migration effort.
  • Prepare clear, realistic migration plans that set the project up to succeed before it starts.
Delivery Leadership
  • Own migration delivery end to end, partnering with project managers, DevOps engineers, and client teams to meet technical specifications and client expectations.
  • Keep projects on track, surface risks early, and make sound decisions when requirements are still evolving.
Client Advocacy
  • Act as the client's advocate — understand their needs deeply, propose practical options, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Help develop and promote the organization's Azure migration offering, both internally and with clients.
Mandatory Requirements
  • At least 5 years architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience implementing technical solutions, designing architecture, and evaluating cloud environments.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable operating effectively with incomplete or evolving requirements.
  • A creative and analytical problem-solving mindset.
Nice-to-Have
  • Microsoft certifications AZ-104 and AZ-305.
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Working knowledge of the AWS and GCP platforms.
  • Experience developing reusable migration tools or automation scripts.
Of Note
  • You'll be required to provide your own laptop and basic software tools.
  • Completed background checks will be required before the start date if you are selected as a winning candidate.
  • As a winning candidate, you will be required to disclose your engagement with DevEngine as a primary client on your professional LinkedIn profile.
While we strive to respond to all applicants, please understand that due to the high volume of applications we receive, providing individual feedback or responses to every candidate may not be feasible. Rest assured that your application will be carefully reviewed and considered. We appreciate your understanding and interest in joining our team.
