Paid Media Specialist, Google Ads (Remote, LATAM)
Remote - US
|Contract
Our client is a lean, senior-run performance marketing consultancy specializing in paid media across Google Ads, Meta, and Microsoft Ads. They manage mid-seven-figure annual ad spend across roughly 15 client accounts, a mix of small- to midsize businesses and large enterprise relationships. Today, the founder personally runs strategy, client relationships, and hands-on execution. This role exists to take that day-to-day campaign execution off the founder's plate so they can focus on strategy and client work.
As a Paid Media Specialist with a Google Ads focus, you'll own the hands-on-keyboard work that keeps campaigns running across the client's book of business. This is high-volume, high-precision execution: you'll build and launch campaigns, run pre-launch QA, and drive weekly optimization cycles, all guided by clear direction and written checklists set by the founder. It's a role built for someone with a few years of paid media experience who takes real ownership of accurate, on-time delivery but is happy to execute against a strategy they don't set alone.
You'll work directly with the founder, translating trafficking sheets into builds, catching problems before they go live, and keeping accounts healthy week over week. To be clear about the shape of the job: this is a paid-media execution role, not a design, copywriting, or sales role. Drafting ad copy is part of the work, but brand writing, creative production, and client acquisition are not.
Engagement Details
This is a full-time long-term contract opportunity. The engagement starts with a paid part-time trial (about one month at ~20 hours/week) before any longer-term commitment. This allows you and the client to get a feel for each other, see if the role is the right fit, and determine whether you click as a team. If the trial goes well, you're expected to commit to the position full-time.
The role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in Latin America. The client operates on US Pacific time, and the accounts span US Pacific to Eastern, so you'll need strong overlap with US business hours. You'll need strong English communication skills (B2+ or higher) for this role, written English is the primary requirement here, since most of the working relationship (build specs, QA notes, and client-ready summaries) happens in writing. Spanish is a plus, as several accounts run parallel English/Spanish campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Build & Launch
- Translate client trafficking sheets into Google Ads Editor bulk uploads: campaign and ad group structure, keywords and match types, responsive search ads, sitelinks, callouts, call assets, tracking codes, and destination URLs.
- Run pre-launch QA against a checklist (geo targeting, budgets, bid strategy, network settings, ad schedule, language, negative lists, and conversion goal selection) and sign off before anything goes live.
- Build and monitor Google Ads Experiments and campaign drafts for structured A/B tests.
- Handle Meta Ads campaign and ad set builds, creative uploads, and audience configuration.
- Set up Microsoft Ads by importing and cleaning up Google campaigns, including excluding the audience network.
- Manage Shopping and Performance Max, including Merchant Center feed issues and product disapprovals.
- Run weekly search term reviews: negatives, keyword promotion, and n-gram analysis.
- Manage RSA and asset refresh cycles: pull performance data, draft replacements for low performers, load changes, and document them.
- Monitor budget pacing across all accounts and flag under- or over-delivery before month-end.
- Track bid strategies for target CPA/ROAS drift and monitor learning periods after changes.
- Support local and organic work: Google Business Profile optimization, posts, review management, location pages, on-page SEO checks, and AI-search visibility monitoring.
- 3+ years hands-on Google Ads experience: you've managed multiple accounts simultaneously, not just one.
- Fluency in Google Ads Editor and bulk operations.
- Working knowledge of conversion tracking: enough to diagnose why a number is wrong: tags, goals, imports, attribution windows.
- Strong spreadsheet skills.
- Strong written English: most of the working relationship happens in writing: build specs, QA notes, and eventual client-ready summaries.
- Genuine QA discipline: a checklist habit and the instinct to verify before pushing anything live.
- Comfort working from SOPs: including the confidence to flag when something in an SOP is wrong.
- Meta Ads and Microsoft Ads at a working level.
- Google Ads API, GAQL, or scripting (Python or Apps Script).
- Looker Studio or equivalent dashboarding.
- Google Business Profile and local SEO.
- Daily, practiced use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) as part of how you already work.
- Spanish: several accounts run parallel English/Spanish campaigns.
- Experience in a regulated vertical such as healthcare, insurance, or legal.
Measurement and reporting work: conversion tracking audits, offline conversion imports, CRM and automation plumbing, GA4/GTM/UET, and reporting automation is a real and growing need. If you bring strength here on top of paid media execution, that's a meaningful plus.
